In a move that rivals Google's Pixel phone updates, Samsung is offering a whopping seven years of operating system and security updates for its latest Galaxy S24 phones. But that's not all! Samsung is going above and beyond for business users with their new Galaxy Tab Active 5 Enterprise Edition tablet. According to a LinkedIn post by Samsung Benelux representative Andy Rottiers (reported by SamMobile), this tablet will be supported for an incredible eight years. This includes eight major Android updates, meaning the Galaxy Tab Active 5 could theoretically run all the way up to Android 22.





While the standard Galaxy Tab Active 5 wasn't initially promised the longest update support, Samsung has recently improved that offer. Originally, they only guaranteed four major Android updates and five years of security patches. That's still not bad, but the enterprise version gets even better treatment.
