Windows 11 Says Goodbye to Android Apps: Time to Find Alternatives

    TL;DR
  1. Microsoft has announced it is ending Windows Subsystem for Android support.
  2. Users will lose access to the Amazon Appstore on Windows and all applications and games that rely on WSA.
  3. Support will end next year on March 5, 2025.

Heads up, Windows 11 users who enjoy using Android apps! The party's ending in March 2025, as Microsoft announced they're stopping support for the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA). This means the Amazon Appstore and any Android apps you have won't work anymore.

Don't worry, you'll still have access to your apps and the store until the official shutoff date. But after March 5th, 2025, any app relying on WSA will be kaput.

While the official route is closing down, there are unofficial ways to keep running Android apps on Windows. Additionally, you can still use Google Play Games to play your Android games on your PC.
